Overview
The Department of Pathology at Montefiore Medical Center is seeking applicants for two full-time Academic Surgical Pathologist positions at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor to join a staff of 25 Surgical Pathologists. Candidates should have subspecialty fellowship training in GI/Liver Pathology. The Division of Surgical Pathology practices a "hybrid" model of subspecialty sign-out which allows for a combination of 2 or more subspecialties. The Department receives approximately 66,000 surgical pathology specimens/year. Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine; Academic Surgical Pathologists. Responsibilities
Provide clinical services in surgical pathology. Interact with clinicians and multidisciplinary patient care teams. Involve in residency training programs and medical student education. Engage in other activities as appropriate. Collaborative and translational research opportunities are available and encouraged. Qualifications
Board Certified/Board Eligible in AP/CP or A/P. Have or be able to obtain a NY State Medical License. Subspecialty fellowship training in GI/Liver Pathology. Solid diagnostic skills, enthusiasm for teaching, and strong communication abilities. Details
Location: Bronx, New York. Work Days: vary. Scheduled Hours: vary. Scheduled Daily Hours: vary. Salary: $250,000 - $375,000 depending on years of experience, plus productivity incentives.
