CT Computerized Tomography Technologist Nights Tampa – join AdventHealth Tampa. Location: 3100 East Fletcher Avenue Tampa, Florida 33613 Schedule: Full Time – Shift: Days The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Tampa Responsibilities
Under general supervision, perform imaging for neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following age-specific facility parameters. Transmit images for diagnostic interpretation and keep the hospital information system up to date with exam progress. Participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships while applying the principles of the facility. The Role You’ll Contribute
Imaging exams using established protocols; identify patient prior to exam; educate patient about the exam; screen for contrast allergies. Complete exams in a timely manner, maintain workflow, minimize idle time, and coordinate transportation and discharge for outpatients. Operate imaging equipment safely, perform scans on patients of all ages, and adapt protocols as needed. Screen patients of childbearing age and minimize radiation exposure; practice infection control; use PPE and disinfectants; maintain a clean, stocked room; perform QA on CT scanners. Review images, repeat as necessary for best results; notify physicians of emergent findings per protocol. Use the computer system for ordering, changing, and canceling exams; verify orders match exams before sending to PACS or correcting exams. Qualifications
Associate’s degree or technical degree in a related field, or a combination of high school diploma and related experience American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Completion of radiologic technology training and R.T. (R) (CT) (ARRT) registration General Radiographer (CRT) Florida state license Benefits & Company Details
