Eurofins Environment Testing is looking for a TCLP Technician for our Tinley Park lab. The lab tests soil and water samples. The TCLP Technician would pick up samples from the Login Department and prepare them for analysis – weigh them, filter them, make buffer solutions, test for things such as pH and then distribute them to the applicable department. The role requires being able to learn several different methods in preparing samples. It involves more manual, physical lab work, handling a variety of samples, which can be dirty or have an odor. Duties/skills

Demonstrates and promotes the company vision Regular attendance and punctuality Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate

Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. These include:

Preparation of samples using standard techniques Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques Calculating data Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor Performing routine instrument maintenance Responsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins environmental health safety and quality assurance standards Responsible for general housekeeping in work area Ability to become trained and competent on instrumentation and instrument specific data systems. Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods Aliquots and weighs samples Washes glassware Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

**Basic Minimum Requirements:**

High school diploma or equivalent required Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred but not necessary. **Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.** **Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English**

Additional Information

**Full-time position Monday- Friday day 8:00- 4:30 PM, with overtime as needed.**

**Compensation rate: Starting rate $17.75/hr but based on experience**

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
