Overview
The Primary Care Clinic provides a pediatric medical home for children of the Kansas City metro area. Our care team provides high-quality primary care for children from birth through adolescence. The primary care team works with medical specialists, social workers, clinical service coordinators, case managers, registered dietitians and allied health providers to create care plans to meet each patient’s unique health care needs. The Children’s Mercy Operation Breakthrough Clinic is a medical home for children at Operation Breakthrough and the surrounding community. We offer family-centered holistic care for children from newborn to 21 years. We also provide nursing services at the school. Our clinic is located inside Operation Breakthrough at 3039 Troost Avenue. Services We Offer include asthma care, behavioral services, ill and follow-up care, same-day appointments, school physicals, sports physicals, tests/labs, vaccinations, well child check-ups, and same-day sick appointments. Clinical concerns we address include asthma, behavioral concerns, colds, constipation, ear infections, fevers, rash, sore throat, upset stomach, vomiting and diarrhea, urinary tract infection. Core Charge Nurses provide leadership for nursing staff on their scheduled shifts. They collaborate with Nursing Department Directors, Managers and Hospital Shift Supervisors to provide the personnel, workplace, and technology resources necessary for safe, high-quality patient and family care. They solve problems effectively, communicate and collaborate with all stakeholders, and demonstrate understanding and commitment to the Children’s Mercy Lean System and operational excellence. They maintain clinical expertise by providing direct patient and family care on a regular basis. Provides leadership for nursing staff to support high-quality care of patients and families during scheduled shifts, in coordination with the interdisciplinary patient care team. Collaborates with the Nursing Department Director, Nurse Manager, and Hospital Shift Supervisor to provide the personnel, workplace, and technology resources necessary for safe, high-quality patient and family care during scheduled shifts. Provides leadership for effective problem solving, communication, and collaboration between stakeholders to achieve the common goal of safe, high-quality patient care. Utilizes the nursing process and organizational policy and procedure to plan and provide a comprehensive, collaborative, age-appropriate plan of care for patients and families. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s Degree (BSN) required and 3-5 years experience One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications required upon hire Specialty Certification relevant to unit\'s patient population (determined by Nurse Manager/Director) Preferred Benefits

Starting Pay: Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $33.43/hr, with offers determined based on education and experience. This position is not eligible to work remotely and requires onsite work at a Children’s Mercy location. EEO and Compliance
