Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring a Surgical Tech to join our team in the Operating Room at the main hospital! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities, and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, rehab therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!
About the area Located in the heart of the Ozarks, our main campus is located in Bolivar, Missouri, where you\'ll find a hometown feel and affordable housing options. Enjoy a round of golf, a local college game, or grab a meal from any one of our local eateries! Springfield is only 30 minutes away and offers attractions like Big Shots Golf, Bass Pro Shop\'s Wonders of Wildlife Museum, and Urban Air. Only an hour south is Branson, where you can take in a family-friendly show, visit Silver Dollar City, and experience world-class shopping at the Branson Landing!
About the department The OR consists of 23 active surgeons who perform an average of 372 surgeries each month. There are 6 outpatient, 3 inpatient, and 1 C-section designated suites that run 4 teams of staff each day. The surgeons work to educate, train, and develop staff to operate fluidly together.
A typical day includes Assisting with the supplies and needs of the department, maintaining a safe, clean patient care environment, and knowing and applying aseptic and sterile techniques as applicable.
Provides perioperative care of the patient
Prepares the operating room and equipment
Provides support to physicians and nurses while the procedure is underway
Handles specimens collected
Job Requirements
Education: High school diploma required, Associate Degree preferred
Experience: Certified Surgical Technologist or LPN with scrub tech experience preferred
Skills: Organization, communication, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, able to multitask
Licensure/Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist is preferred
Physical: Standing/walking for long periods of time, ability to lift and move patients and equipment, good manual dexterity and visual acuity
The position is : Part-time working 40 hours every two weeks, 7:00am-5:30pm
