Sunday-Monday (7:00am-3:00pm); Friday-Saturday (3:00pm-11:00pm)

About Our Program Easterseals New Jersey has worked since 1948 to meet the needs of people with disabilities and their families. The mental health program provides daily living support and community-based programs that teach valuable life skills through instruction and real-world experiences.
What You’ll Do The Residential Counselor supports group home residents with daily living activities and delivers high-quality services to help consumers achieve measurable outcomes in accordance with Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRP).
Key Responsibilities
Support consumers in achieving personal care goals and addressing ongoing challenges.
Educate consumers on medications, track logs, and conduct monthly audits.
Coordinate services based on individual needs.
Transport consumers using the company van as needed.
Deliver high-quality care in line with Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRP).
Accurately document services within required timeframes using electronic health records.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in mental health, psychology, sociology, social work, human services or a related field from an accredited college or university OR
One (1) or more years of college plus related life or work experience equal to four (4) years OR
High school diploma or GED plus four (4) years of related work or life experience required.
Requirements:
Possess a valid driver’s license & acceptable driving record.
Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
