Provide safe, efficient age-specific nursing care to patients and families using nursing interventions to help them attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Provide patient care and function in a primary scrub position. Assist with technical responsibilities in assigned operative procedures. Ensure appropriate instruments and supplies are present and in proper working condition. Provide labeled medications with correct doses on the sterile field. Support the operative team, including following patient care handoff protocol. Actively participate in the quality improvement process. Engage in learning and self-improvement. Additional Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
