Job Description INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma’s largest not-for-profit health system, invites a Surgical Technologist to join our cath lab team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. You will work full-time, days, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with call, supporting the surgical team in delivering exceptional care to patients entrusted to INTEGRIS Health.

Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining the sterile field under supervision.

Demonstrate an understanding of procedures and support surgical team needs.

Check supplies and equipment required for surgical procedures.

Scrub, gown, and glove appropriately.

Set up sterile tables with instruments and supplies under guidance.

Perform instrument and sponge counts with the circulator.

Pass instruments during surgery.

Aid in cleaning and preparing instruments for sterilization.

Support terminal cleaning of rooms and preparation for the next procedure.

May retrieve and transport medications (no preparation or administration).

Qualifications Required Qualifications

BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

NCCT-TS-C (Tech in Surgery-Certified) or AST-CST (Certified Surgical Tech).

Experience

Experience in a direct patient care or clinical support role (e.g., medical assistant, patient care tech, EMT, or similar).

Lakeside Women’s Hospital: Knowledge of preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and supplies.

Radiology/Cath Lab only: 6 months experience in angiography preferred. Experience with PTA and PTCA, laser PTA/PTCA, and intra aortic balloon pump.

Physical Demands The position may involve high exposure to hazardous risks and contaminants, including potential for infection and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, lasers, radiology and fluoroscopy equipment, needle sticks, suction splashing, and chemicals. Physical demands may require overtime, late shifts, weekends, and on‑call duties. Universal safety procedures will minimize hazards.
