We are looking for an experienced Engineering Operations Manager to join our Program Management & Engineering Operations team and lead the design and implementation of end-to-end SDLC processes. Reporting to the Director of Engineering Operations, you will play a key role in shaping how engineering teams work with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement streamlined workflows between engineering and cross-functional teams (Product Management, Legal, Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales)

Drive process improvement and alignment across the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including intake, prioritization, and CI/CD, leveraging tools such as GitLab and the Atlassian suite (Jira Data Center, Confluence, and Marketplace add-ons) to enhance team workflows, automation, and productivity

Develop and deploy comprehensive dashboards and reporting solutions to provide real-time visibility into key engineering metrics (e.g., sprint velocity, defect density, etc.) and team performance, leading to data-driven decision making

Develop and execute change management strategies for new process and tool implementations, ensuring a smooth transition and high user adoption rates

Create and deliver effective training programs for engineering teams and stakeholders to increase process compliance and proficiency

Minimum Qualifications

8+ years of experience in engineering operations, technical program management, or similar roles

3+ years of experience with Jira (Data Center or Cloud), Gitlab, and/or other DevSecOps tools as an administrator, architect, or product manager

Experience designing and implementing quality gates, design and architecture review processes, and release management procedures

Ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects concurrently, with proven ability to add structure and standards across project teams

Experience crafting and delivering engaging training materials and communication strategies to drive user adoption of new processes and tools

Preferred Qualifications

Experience consulting for SaaS companies on engineering transformation, with a focus on SDLC optimization and scaling

Proficiency in data analysis, and experience building and presenting insightful visualizations for engineering metrics and performance

Experience maintaining and optimizing integrations between engineering tools and other business systems (e.g. Google Product Suite, App Script, Salesforce)

Compensation and Benefits Base Pay Range $140,000 - $200,000 USD

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and determined by role and level. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on factors such as skills, experience, and education.

The base salary range listed excludes commission/bonus/equity (if applicable) plus benefits.
