We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Operations Manager to join the Program Management & Engineering Operations team and lead the design and implementation of end-to-end SDLC processes. Reporting to the Director of Engineering Operations, you will drive cross-functional collaboration and process improvements across the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Architect and implement streamlined workflows between engineering and cross-functional teams (Product Management, Legal, Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales)
Drive process improvement and alignment across the SDLC, including intake, prioritization, and CI/CD, leveraging tools such as GitLab and the Atlassian suite (Jira Data Center, Confluence, and Marketplace add-ons) to enhance team workflows, automation, and productivity
Develop and deploy comprehensive dashboards and reporting solutions to provide real-time visibility into key engineering metrics (e.g., sprint velocity, defect density) and team performance
Develop and execute change management strategies for new processes and tool implementations, ensuring smooth adoption
Create and deliver training programs for engineering teams and stakeholders to increase process compliance and proficiency
What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
8+ years of experience in engineering operations, technical program management, or similar roles
3+ years of experience with Jira (Data Center or Cloud), GitLab, and/or other DevSecOps tools as an administrator, architect, or product manager
Experience designing and implementing quality gates, design and architecture review processes, and release management procedures
Ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects concurrently, with proven ability to add structure and standards across project teams
Experience crafting and delivering training materials and communication strategies to drive user adoption of new processes and tools
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience consulting for SaaS companies on engineering transformation, with a focus on SDLC optimization and scaling
Proficiency in data analysis and experience building and presenting visualizations for engineering metrics and performance
Experience maintaining and optimizing integrations between engineering tools and other business systems (e.g., Google Workspace, Salesforce)

Compensation and Benefits Zscaler’s base pay range for this full-time position is $140,000 - $200,000 USD, excluding commission, bonus, or equity. Salary ranges are determined by role and location and may vary based on skills, experience, and education. Benefits include time off, parental leave, retirement options, in-office perks, and more.
