Position: Manager, Sterile Manufacturing Summary: The Manager of Sterile Manufacturing ensures efficient, compliant production of sterile medications, leading operations from supply to release while maintaining regulatory standards. This role drives process improvements, mentors team members, and fosters collaboration to support Empower’s mission of expanding access to quality, affordable medications. Duties And Responsibilities

Manages sterile manufacturing operations, including material processing, equipment sterilization, aseptic filtration, filling, and cleaning, overseeing the injectable value stream from supply to release and ensuring compliance with FDA and USP standards. Leads daily operations, monitors inventory with Supply Chain, prepares production reports, and drives cost, budgeting, and efficiency improvements through sound technical and management practices. Conducts deviation investigations, implements corrective actions, drives continuous process improvements, and collaborates with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Facilities to resolve manufacturing issues. Develops and ensures compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, trains teams on cGMP and safety, and supports validation of processes and equipment. Mentors and evaluates team members, manages schedules, fosters a collaborative culture, and partners with leadership to address staffing needs and recruitment efforts. Note: The role may involve standard office and manufacturing environment activities such as communicating, standing, walking, and operating equipment consistent with a manufacturing setting.

Knowledge And Skills

Demonstrates strong understanding of aseptic pharmaceutical practices, FDA regulations, and cGMP, with the ability to work in an aseptic area and meet cleanroom qualification requirements, including daily gowning and media fill tests. Possesses in-depth technical expertise with equipment such as autoclaves, depyrogenation ovens, peristaltic pumps, and laminar airflow workbenches, along with proficiency in USP 797/800 standards and Microsoft Office 365.

Experience and Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of management/supervisory experience in an aseptic production environment Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences or closely related discipline required Demonstrated experience leveraging AI in daily work to drive efficiency, solve problems, and enhance decision-making—adept at integrating AI-powered solutions into all workflows
