Design mechanical piping and equipment for renewable and fossil power generation facilities Prepare mechanical equipment and packaged equipment specifications and data sheets, RFQs, and technical bid evaluations Review mechanical equipment vendor drawings and data. Interface with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines, and detailers/designers Ensure effective communications with other engineering disciplines Prepare construction/installation scopes of work for mechanical systems Participate in the development of PFDs and P&IDs Perform piping design activities including sizing, pressure drop calculations, stress analysis, and pipe support design Mentor and guide less experienced engineers Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs Qualifications
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline 3+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial facilities Engineer in Training Certification Working knowledge of Microstation or AutoCAD Working knowledge of SmartPlant 3D or CADWORX Experience using Caesar II or AutoPipe Experience using Thermoflow Strong command of English with good written and oral communication skills Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities Proven safety track record and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements; occasional travel may be required Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in Engineering Essential Professional Licensure/Certification Power plant design experience Renewable natural gas plant design experience Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: Expected Salary (all locations):
$73,100 - $125,400 WSP provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, retirement savings, paid leave, parental leave, and other time-off provisions. About WSP
