Building Automation Service Specialist II

Schneider Electric is looking for a BAS Service Specialist II; this position is a field-based role involving various responsibilities. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project managers on project components such as system design/review, software, installation, startup, commissioning, and owner training. Must be capable of conducting on-site service activities related to the coordination, installation, and commissioning of building automation and security management systems, working independently and with team members. Candidate should have working knowledge of HVAC or Security industry applications. Responsibilities Include: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues on installed Building Automation and Energy Management Systems. Perform software preventative maintenance, including applying patches and updating antivirus solutions. Code software using multiple languages and environments, adhering to high-quality coding and testing practices. Suggest system improvements and modifications. Develop software code, graphics, and drivers for the human-machine interface. Work independently with minimal supervision to complete tasks. Support 3rd party commissioning agents and communicate deficiencies to the project team. Assist in network troubleshooting and analysis, including running packet captures for support teams. Qualifications: Completed a two-year technical program or an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled and hot water loops, VAVs, and fan-powered VAV units. Basic electrical knowledge, including wiring, motor starters, and VFDs. Ability to read wiring diagrams and understand control wiring basics. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Visio. Good communication skills and teamwork orientation. Ability to prioritize and multitask. Electrical troubleshooting skills.
