Position Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Engineer III is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment in one or more facilities. Oversees and optimizes more complex manufacturing and assembly of new and existing Parker products to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence. Develops advanced manufacturing techniques, testing new systems and methods for efficiency, and planning assembly layouts to optimize production, quality, cost, and safety. May be responsible for developing and deploying capital projects. Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct or indirect reports but is expected to lead multi-disciplined problem solving and/or project teams. Team activities to include root cause corrective action, kaizen and other continuous improvement activities, and product development activities. Manufacturing Process Flow - Plans and designs complex and advanced manufacturing processes to improve the manufacture and assembly of new and existing products. Determines equipment and tooling needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product and quality specifications. Process Improvement – Helps develop and implement process improvement projects that focus on manufacturing efficiency, material yield, safety, and cost. Leads teams in large scope process improvement initiatives. Engineering Design Support – Recommends design concepts for engineering leadership regarding concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Regulatory Compliance – Ensures complex processes and procedures comply with regulations for multiple solution lines. Applies frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Remediation - Investigates and takes corrective action to ensure product quality and resolve quality issues. Technical Writing – Skilled in the creation of layout and assembly procedures, technical reports and charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system's operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations. Knowledgeable in electrical schematics and the assembly and troubleshooting of electronic circuits, printed circuit assembly boards, cable assemblies, and larger electromechanical assemblies. Knowledgeable root cause corrective action investigations. Recommends design changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance. Assembles experimental circuitry or complete prototype model according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components. May instruct operators and/or other technical personnel on processes/procedures. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering

with 5-8 years of experience (Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology are preferred but other engineering degrees with extensive experience with electro-mechanical systems will also be considered). Advanced knowledge and ability to apply concepts of engineering to multiple solution lines Ability to apply a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving of sophisticated scope and complexity Ability to work effectively with CAD/CAM systems or other computer aided manufacturing systems, in addition to standard business application software and/ or specialized data analysis tools Ability to develop new procedures to solve problems Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings and specifications Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Ability to research and analyze data effectively and draw valid conclusions Strong verbal and written communication skills Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task Strong prioritization skills Strong computer skills, including mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule
