Responsibilities We’re looking for Security Officers to join our growing team! You’re passionate about patient, visitor and staff safety, have a close eye for detail and love to collaborate with a dynamic team. Whether you’re looking to stay with our team long term, or use this role as a stepping stone for a future law enforcement career, you will gain valuable hands-on experience that will meet your long and short term goals.
Qualifications
Education
– High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required; Associate\'s Degree or Bachelor\'s Degree in related field preferred
Experience
– 1 year of law enforcement, security, military or other relevant experience required; Advanced military, law enforcement or security training preferred
Licenses and Certifications
– DL - Valid California Driver\'s License and driving record acceptable to Community Health System required; BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required; GUARD - State of California Guard Card required
CHS HealthStream Course
– CPS - OC (Pepper) Spray Endorsement required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
