Engineer II - Protection & Control (Fort Worth, TX)

Qualus . Power your future with Qualus in our Substation Protection and Control department as a Protection & Control Engineer. You will play a crucial role in designing and developing utility substation Protection & Control (P&C) engineering packages, including drawings such as one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, AC/DC Elementary diagrams, circuit schedules, logic diagrams, and operating diagrams. Responsibilities
Coordinate with Substation Physical Engineering, Relay Settings, and other groups to ensure design concurrence. Develop complete engineering design packages for protective relaying and communications systems, including diagrams, schematics, layouts, specifications, and bill of materials. Create SCADA packages, including input/output lists (Point Data Sheets). Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to drafters, technicians, and less experienced engineers. Maintain relationships with current and prospective clients. Present technical solutions confidently to customers and respond to technical concerns articulately. Participate in client meetings and site visits to gather or deliver engineering data. Perform assignments independently, with guidance from Managers or Lead Engineers on complex projects. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with a focus on power systems; MS Degree or international degrees considered. 3+ years of experience in developing utility substation P&C design packages. Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) License is a plus; pursuing PE License desirable. Physical design experience and Protection & Control experience are advantageous.
