Team Lead- Assembly (Nights)

Responsibilities
Assist with department training plan, progress, and cross training efforts to increase flexibility and ensure 100% coverage Ensure quality checks and paperwork are complete before product leaves the department Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles Assist with 5S improvements, Visual Factory improvements, and changeover/setup reductions Maintain a clean working environment, open aisles, and good housekeeping as needed Maintain a continuous improvement mindset within the production teams Highlight critical issues of the value stream to the Operations management team and champion to resolution Communicate daily all relevant information to Value Stream Leaders Inform maintenance of work orders through MMS and coordinate maintenance activities with department requirements and schedules Ensure safe and timely production of scheduled deliverables by effectively utilizing people, equipment, and material Assist the Value Stream Leader with employee activities, including evaluation and discipline; respond to Corrective Action Requests; collect daily metrics and annual performance evaluations Identify and correct unsafe acts or conditions within the department and the plant Assist employees with diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment Actively participate in Gemba and prepare LDMS board as needed Assist with the creation and update of standard work instructions Work in the department as needed, up to 80% time, to maintain workflow Act as a certified First Responder when trained Apply ISO-9000 system procedures and ensure compliance Demonstrate role model engagement and morale within the team Live by and Behave according to TCF Core Values Production Competencies
Basic knowledge of shop math, hand tools, power tools, and general shop practices Ability to read shop orders, blueprints, and a tape measure Understand and promote company KPI goals and core values Meet safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency expectations Interpersonal skills including time management, good attendance, accountability, ethical decision-making, customer focus, and teamwork Based on department, may be required to operate a forklift, overhead crane, and electric pallet jack Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (required) 2+ years in a manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret policies, procedures, work instructions, and standards Ability to communicate verbally with co-workers productively Ability to lead and direct the work of others Ability to work as a team member to achieve company objectives Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee information Certifications, Licenses, Registrations and Required Training
Electric and Manual Pallet Jack Training (provided by company if required) Forklift and Bridge Crane Training (provided by company if required) Physical Demands / Working Conditions
