Part-time Faculty Positions in Engineering Technology (Manufacturing/Machining)

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions in the Department of Engineering Technology for the academic year 2025-2026. The Engineering Technology (ET) department offers programs with a hands-on, applied approach to engineering. Focusing more on the practical aspects of engineering than on the theoretical aspects, ET blends the application of science, engineering knowledge, and technical skills to solve problems in a variety of fields. Responsibilities Teaching undergraduate courses in the mechanical engineering technology program (i.e. CNC, Machining and Programming, and other manufacturing courses, etc.) Required Qualifications At least 7 years of exceptional professional experience related to the courses being taught. Preferred Qualifications An earned bachelors, masters or doctoral degree, or its foreign equivalent, in engineering or closely related field. Knowledge of general machining operations: turning (manual/CNC), milling (manual/CNC), shaping, sawing, grinding, etc. Knowledge of ASME-based best-practices for engineering drawings. Knowledge of GD&T interpretation. Knowledge of Y14.5-2018. Knowledge of tolerances and tolerance/ process relationships. Certified SolidWorks Professional Certification or better. SolidWorks advanced certification in Weldments, Sheet Metal, Drawings, Customization, and Surfacing preferred. Expertise in Top-down and Bottom-up design techniques. Expertise in mechanics and/or welding is a plus. Significant relevant work experience. Professional Engineering license. College level teaching, and online.
