Shift and Availability 4:30 pm – 2:30 am (Mon‑Fri) Occasional overtime on Saturdays.
Compensation The estimated hourly base pay rate is $22 per hour. This role is eligible for S&C’s annual short‑term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.
Join Our Team as a Machinist Are you passionate about machining? S&C Electric Company seeks a dynamic individual for our Metal Finishing Operations department. As a Machinist you will operate automated and manual machines in a sheet‑metal processing cell, ensuring quality and meeting production rates.
Key Responsibilities Operate computer‑controlled sheet‑metal processing machines and interpret complex blueprints. Use material‑handling equipment and overhead cranes to move sheet‑metal stock (30–150 lb). Inspect parts with measurement tools.
What You'll Need to Succeed Job Requirements (minimum):
Ability to read blueprints. Ability to use or learn measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial calipers, protractors and tape measures. Basic knowledge of machine controls and programs. One year of experience setting up and operating computer‑controlled punching, cutting, forming machines or press brakes.
Preferred Qualifications One year of machinist and manufacturing experience.
Major Physical Demands Standing, intermittent walking, and moderate walking distances. Lifting 5–50 lb frequently. Carrying 5–25 lb frequently. Pushing and pulling parts with an electric hand truck to a moderate distance. Bending, crouching, and continuous full range of motion from above shoulders to below knees. Handling parts 5–50 lb with hand tools.
