Job Title
R&D Engineer II Roles & Responsibilities
With limited direction, conducts engineering experiments on new materials, products, processes and/or procedures. Participates significantly in projects to optimize and improve existing materials, products, processes and/or procedures. Contributes to project plan development, execution and reporting activities to support CoorsTek project management activities. Devises basic research methods and documents results and procedures. Operates process and test equipment with an understanding of functionality based on underlying engineering principles. Exercises responsibility for specific pieces of processing and/or analytical equipment. Works collaboratively with the Operations and Commercial sectors of the company. Participates in the company’s safety culture and continuous improvement efforts. Undertakes further training to improve skills. Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, or related Physical Science or Engineering, and at least three years relevant experience. Or: Masters degree in Materials Science, or related Physical Science or Engineering. Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Sound basic knowledge of mathematics, statistics, engineering science and ceramic processing. Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Organized, detail-oriented person necessary. Team player. Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds. Position Specific Physical Requirements
Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment in designated areas. Must be able to lift 50lb. Target Hiring Range
USD 90,196.00 - USD 119,059.00 Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
