* With limited direction, conducts engineering experiments on new materials, products, processes and/or procedures.* Participates significantly in projects to optimize and improve existing materials, products, processes and/or procedures.* Contributes to project plan development, execution and reporting activities to support CoorsTek project management activities.* Devises basic research methods and documents results and procedures.* Operates process and test equipment with an understanding of functionality based on underlying engineering principles.* Exercises responsibility for specific pieces of processing and/or analytical equipment.* Works collaboratively with the Operations and Commercial sectors of the company.* Participates in the company’s safety culture and continuous improvement efforts.* Undertakes further training to improve skills.* Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, or related Physical Science or Engineering, and at least three years relevant experience;* Or: Masters degree in Materials Science, or related Physical Science or Engineering* Sound basic knowledge of mathematics, statistics, engineering science and ceramic processing.* Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.* Organized, detail-oriented person necessary.* Team player.* Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.Making the world measurably better...one person at a time.CoorsTek products and components touch people’s lives in unexpected, awe-inspiring ways.
