The Production Engineer I will support the manufacturing and production plan, ensure workplace safety, optimize processes and maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and support line capacities through cycle time and downtime reduction activities. Responsibilities
Effectively communicate to all levels of the organization to ensure common understanding and direction Review and analyze daily reports to identify safety, quality and delivery gaps, and develop potential countermeasures, striving for continuous improvement Utilize data analysis and PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) to lead, support, develop, and justify solutions with related groups/departments to solve complex problems Monitor and manage equipment and processes to ensure optimal manufacturing performance while minimizing operating expenses Develop the capability of self and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences in technical areas Establish priorities and make data-driven decisions to achieve business objectives Manage project implementation, schedule, budget, and resource allocations for successful completion Test, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve equipment and process efficiency Develop and manage investment and expense budgets to meet cost targets Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Maintain cleanliness at the worksite in accordance with 5S3R standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) and related practices Perform other duties as assigned Education/Experience
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent related experience 0 to 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or related field Manufacturing co-op experience preferred but not required Knowledge/Skills
Battery production knowledge preferred but not required Proficient in Microsoft Office CAD software experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.) preferred but not required Positive attitude, open-minded, and a team player Strong self-motivation for a manufacturing environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and solve complex problems Strong technical analysis and troubleshooting skills Ability to manage projects and schedules Korean language proficiency is a plus Additional Requirements
Comply with PPE requirements Able to work in both office and manufacturing environments Hands-on support of equipment Prompt and regular attendance onsite Flexibility to work adjusted shifts as necessary Up to 20% travel (domestic and/or international) Compensation & Benefits
