ISG is seeking a qualified and experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our Building Systems Commissioning Team. This role provides excellent opportunities to ensure quality and functionality of HVAC and Electrical systems in a variety of Business Units, including Education, Commercial, Food + Industrial, Housing, Government + Cultural facilities.

$60,000 - $130,000 / year
Essential Duties
Experience performing building systems commissioning, or at a minimum, HVAC design or maintenance experience, with hands on interest and/or Building Automation System (BAS) Programming and Deployment Experience (Technician or Design)
An understanding and affinity for temperature controls, HVAC Systems, lighting controls, and other integrated building automation
Familiarity with use of manual verification tools for HVAC, building automation systems, and logic functions
Knowledge and experience troubleshooting HVAC and BAS systems
Knowledge and experience in developing and following ASHRAE commissioning processes through all stages of construction and site safety practices
Strong Communication, diplomacy, and consensus building skills, analysis and problem solving
Ability to test building systems, document deficiencies in an organized log, and prepare final reports
Ability to identify optimal operating setpoints for building systems and collaborate with building operators on adjusting system schedules, sequences, and setpoints to owner’s project requirements
Certification in the Commissioning Process from a relevant and credible organization: CCP, CEM, or LEED AP; preferred, but not required
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Through a thorough, organized, and intentional commissioning process ensure building systems operate optimally for energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, comfort, and operations
Verify and document that building systems meet the contract specifications and design intent
Plan, schedule, and perform commissioning activities on new and existing facilities
Interface with and direct contractors on system corrections. Ensure due diligence from system installers and programmers
Collaborate with and field feedback from owners, occupants, and operators. ISG commissioning team members are highly appreciated for improving indoor environments for all three
Perform functional performance testing of equipment and systems
Observe and document training and equipment startup activities as a field quality control advocate
Assist with ongoing training of operators
Review designs, plans, and specifications for optimization and quality control
Provide feedback to design teams
