Maintenance Planner - Bakery

Job Summary As the Maintenance Planner, you will plan and schedule all plant maintenance activities, including coordination of preventive, planned, and unplanned maintenance. You will process and prioritize work orders, determine the best approach for work order completion, and act as a liaison between production, engineering, and maintenance departments. You will report to the Maintenance Manager.
Position Responsibilities
Ensures parts inventory is adequate to support production.
Leads pre and post shift meetings.
Ensures work orders are accomplished and correctly prioritized.
Communicates daily with maintenance, production, accounting, and vendors to resolve any issues.
Communicates daily and weekly notes on planned and unplanned work.
Supervisor functions (weekend rotation, cover absences, and ensuring standard work process adherence).
Requisition parts and materials as needed for work order packages and non‑stocked items.
Identifies and develops projects for continuous improvement within the department and the plant.
Identifies and implements cost reduction projects in the facility.
Reviews work order backlog and rework to determine root cause and provide improvement recommendations.
Reduces inventory through standardization.
Develops standard work order templates for repetitive jobs that require only time planning.
Works with other planners on updating PM's.
Position Qualifications
High school diploma required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience with SAP or CMMS.
One year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
One year of experience with machine repair.
Computer skills: MS‑Word, MS‑Excel, and CAD.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret a variety of technical information in mathematical and/or narrative form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Requirements Regularly required to talk and hear. Required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Compensation Pay Range: $63,000 – $93,000
