Quality Supervisor - Bakery Plant

SUMMARY As the Quality Team Lead, you will assist in managing quality control activities across all phases of production, personnel, and laboratory operations. You will schedule and assign workloads, maintain close rapport with production to identify, solve, and prevent quality issues. Additionally, you will coordinate with production in monitoring packaging lines for effective control of weights, metal detection, codes, and product/package integrity. This role is based at the Indianapolis Bakery plant and reports directly to the Quality Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as a team member and backup lead of the FS&Q Pillar in the Conagra Performance System. Conduct GMP and food safety inspections, including executing pathogen monitoring programs, dispositioning products, reviewing lab results, estimating supply costs, and managing reporting of KPIs and process logs. Support new product development and R&D trials. Collaborate with other departments to troubleshoot issues, investigate complaints, participate in sanitation alerts, and perform root cause analysis. Train and mentor the quality team. Supervise Quality Technicians and Coordinators across multiple shifts. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS B.S. degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field. Minimum of two years of experience in a food, beverage, or dairy production environment. PCQI and/or HACCP Certification preferred. Proficiency in SAP preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Requires standing, walking, sitting, handling materials, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders. Hearing and smelling are necessary. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and focus adjustment. The environment may be wet and noisy. #LI-Onsite Compensation: Pay Range: $59,000 - $78,000. The actual salary depends on experience, location, and other factors, complying with applicable minimum salary laws.
