Overview
Lighting Maintenance Inc. (LMI) is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, including but not limited to : bucket trucks, digger derricks, skid steers, excavators, backhoes, directional drills, dump trucks, cars, and vans. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues across a wide range of diesel and gas-powered vehicles and equipment Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections, including DOT inspections Diagnose and repair hydraulic, air, brake, electrical, transmission, and powertrain systems Complete brake jobs, wheel seals, axle alignments, and A / C work Review and address Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) Properly use diagnostic tools and maintain organized records of repairs and parts orders Welding experience is a plus Operate safely and independently in both shop and field settings Requirements
Minimum 5 years experience in fleet truck and heavy equipment repair Experience with boom inspections (ANSI) preferred Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills Knowledge of shop equipment and tools Valid driver's license and ability to obtain DOT Medical Certificate Must have own tools and reliable transportation Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and accounting software Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous work environment Work Environment & Physical Demands
Work is performed mainly in a shops, with occasional fieldwork in varying weather conditions Physical requirements include frequent lifting, bending, kneeling, crawling, and climbing Exposure to dust, grease, fumes, noise, and heavy machinery is common Benefits
