Full-Time Transportation/Civil Engineer
in our Omaha office. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can effectively communicate with team members, public officials, and clients to develop public improvement plans. Description Produce design plans and specifications for urban and rural public/private roadways, which may include grading, erosion control, and stormwater management. Prepare civil engineering design calculations, high-level technical designs, drainage reports, and cost estimates Work with city, county, and state regulatory or reviewing authorities to identify appropriate design criteria and limitation Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an EAC/ABET, CEAB-accredited engineering program, or program that meets the NCEES Engineering Education Standard Engineer in Training (“E.I.T.” or “E.I.”) Designation Four (4) years of progressively responsible engineering experience Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Experience with roadway design, hydrologic and hydraulic computations, computer modeling, and presentation of results. Demonstrated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Six (6) years of progressively responsible engineering experience Registered Professional Civil Engineer License in the State of Nebraska Demonstrated knowledge of Public Improvement Plan layouts, design, and processes and procedures Experience with the City of Omaha, Sarpy, and Douglas County, and/or other local agencies Knowledge of the Omaha Regional Design Manual and PERMIX E&A is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
