The Role

As a

Senior Project Engineer – Electronic Controls , you’ll lead the design and development of embedded control systems that power residential and commercial water heaters, boilers, and heat pumps. You’ll combine

hands-on technical design

with

strategic project leadership , ensuring every new product delivers reliability, performance, and efficiency. What You’ll Do

Lead Projects That Matter Drive embedded control system projects from

concept through production .

Define project scope, milestones, and deliverables—balancing leadership with hands-on engineering.

Facilitate design reviews, make key technical decisions, and keep execution on track.

Engineer Smart Systems Translate product requirements into

system architecture and detailed design documentation .

Integrate sensors, temperature control logic, and communication interfaces.

Validate & Optimize Develop and execute validation plans ensuring

performance, safety, and compliance .

Participate in

FMEA/DFMEA

and other reliability analyses.

Collaborate & Innovate Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.

Explore new technologies and continuously improve design processes.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree

in Electrical, Electronics, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering (ABET preferred).

5+ years

in embedded control systems—hardware, firmware, or integrated development.

Strong grasp of

temperature control systems, sensors, and communication protocols .

Proven success in

both technical delivery and project leadership .

Bonus Points For: Master’s in Systems or Electrical Engineering.

Familiarity with

Agile or hybrid

development environments.

Experience in

water heating, boilers, or HVAC

controls.

Knowledge of

FMEA/DFMEA

and reliability engineering tools.
