Job Summary - The Co-op Experience The Codonics Co-op Program has been enriching students for over 20 years. It has earned the Distinguished Employer Award by the Ohio Cooperative Education Association. We offer an excellent environment for students to learn and make a significant contribution at a manufacturing company with a growing number of opportunities. We provide a real-world work experience designing and developing state-of-the-art technology regulated by the FDA. Our co-op program has provided full-time employment for many students upon graduation.
Duties And Responsibilities
Perform testing on all Codonics products by running established test procedures.
Identify and investigate defects found in the testing process.
Prepare documentation and reports related to testing activities.
Develop testing software or hardware to improve or automate the testing process.
Participate in normal departmental planning and status meetings.
Additional duties may include participation in electrical, mechanical, and media testing efforts.
Any and other duties as assigned.

Gears, cams, pumps, valves, bearings, load cells, seals, springs
Tolerancing
Vacuum/Pressure
Optics
Fluid mechanics
Wear, abrasion, squeaks, fatigue
Plastic creep and set
Adhesive and sealant testing
Material suitability; loads, temperature, UV, chemical, moisture
Accelerated aging. Arrhenius, HALT, rapid cycling
Weight, torque, pressure, vacuum, force, gauging
Stressing mechanical components (force, temperature, pressure, chemical
Overdriving: electrically, hard stops, windup, prolonged loading
Familiar with computer systems and networking
Familiar with UNIX or Linux operating systems
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly with other engineers
Strong organizational skills
Able to manage and organize large amounts of data.
Education And/or Experience
Computer Science, Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical or other Engineering Student
