Overview

Saint-Gobain North America offers an 18-month Essentials of Manufacturing (EOM) program for engineers to step into the future of manufacturing. Through an advanced engineering development program, participants will work in a full-time operational role, with opportunities to develop manufacturing skills, leadership capabilities, and exposure to multiple Saint-Gobain sites. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, classroom-based e-learnings, and quarterly travel to other Saint-Gobain manufacturing sites in North America. Start dates vary, with activities kickoff each year in July and completing 18 months later in December. Upon completion, EOM Engineers work with Human Resources to find an operational role at one of Saint-Gobain’s nearly 160 sites in North America. A final placement is not guaranteed, but graduates typically have multiple placement options. Responsibilities

Provide engineering support for site process improvements. Support capital expenditure projects and new equipment installations. Support safety and sustainability initiatives at the plant. Implement new automation processes at the site. Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, cost reductions, and quality improvements. Participate in program activities and apply learned theory to manufacturing practice. What are the requirements?

B.S. in an engineering discipline (Mechanical preferred). Internship experience in manufacturing or a professional setting is a plus. Valid passport required for international travel (Canada and worldwide). Qualifications and attributes

Exposure: Approximately one week at a different plant every three months; travel within the U.S. or Canada. Travel documents including a passport required. Mentorship: A dedicated mentor supports knowledge sharing and career development. Challenge: Work on high-priority projects; participate in trainings in lean manufacturing, data analytics, business acumen, project management, and presentation skills. Saint-Gobain provides a Total Rewards package. For this position, the national pay range is $68,700 to $106,300 per year, with base pay varying by location, internal equity, knowledge, and experience. An annual bonus is eligible; target bonus is 9% of base salary. The Total Target Cash range is $74,883 to $115,867. Bonus payments are variable and not guaranteed. Seniority level
