Electrical Engineer – APU Control Systems
Akkodis is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a 9+ month contract with a client located in Phoenix, AZ.
Pay Range:
$40/hr. – $41/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Key Responsibilities:
Lead design and integration of APU control systems, focusing on electronic control units and airborne electronic hardware.
Own system solutions from business development through product end‑of‑life, collaborating across disciplines within the Engines & Power Systems business.
Manage engineering support cases, distribute workload, and mentor a team of engineers.
Resolve production support cases, release Engineering Change Notices, and substantiate design changes related to production and factory support.
Collaborate with component engineering, materials, mechanical, certification, test services, configuration management, and data management to ensure compliance with DO‑254 and other design assurance requirements.
Integrate product design into larger system application, ensuring supplier drawings and parts comply with Honeywell drawing and governing requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers and customers, including scheduling, milestone establishment, and communication documentation.
Maintain accordance with Nuclear hardening design assurance for electronic control units.
