Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or other equivalent degree required Associate's Degree preferred CLIA regulations compliance required for foreign education equivalency Experience
1 year radiologic technician experience without ARRT‑CT required No experience with ARRT‑CT required Licenses and Certifications
ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R upon hire required ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT (no radiology technician experience) upon hire required ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT (1 year radiology technician experience) 12 months required CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (TDH or TMB) upon hire required BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to independent patient care and maintained quarterly required What You Will Do – Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing
Explain procedures to patient or guardian/family member prior to exam Position patient to correct anatomical area of interest Perform complex procedures and adjust technique parameters for age‑related factors Assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique Maintain attention to detail, process and analyze images, troubleshoot, and repeat as needed Utilize proper downtime procedures for PACS, HIS, RIS and send images to PACS Print laser images from modality or PACS and coordinate with Centralized Scheduling Patient Care
Use multidisciplinary, team‑oriented actions Assess emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions Prepare room, check physician orders, use time‑out procedures Greets patients, obtain history, and handle IVs and other devices Administer contrast media and medications per guidelines, maintain phone etiquette and transport patients Equipment Operation and Maintenance
Adjust technical factors and maintain equipment and room cleanliness Troubleshoot and document equipment malfunction Stock supplies daily and exchange film badges within designated time frames Professional Accountability and Partnership
