CT Technologist, Full time, Evenings – Texas Health Resources
Work location: Texas Health Rockwall, 3150 Horizon Rd, TX 75032
Work hours: Full Time, one 8-hour shift (3pm–11pm on Fridays) followed by two 16-hour shifts (3pm–7am on Saturdays and Sundays).
Responsibilities What you will do as a CT Technologist:
Explain procedures to patient or guardian/family prior to and during exam, image the correct anatomical area according to department protocols, and perform complex procedures with attention to age-related criteria and developmental considerations.
Process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoot, adjust technique, or repeat procedures as needed.
Correctly send and transfer images to PACS.
Assess and recognize the patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions.
Operate, care for and maintain equipment.
Prepare room for examination (e.g., suction, oxygen, supplies).
Administer contrast media and other medications in accordance with medication administration guidelines.
Maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards between patients (injectors, table tops, floors).
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology (required) or Associate Degree (preferred).
1 year Radiologic Technologist experience without ARRT-CT (required) or no experience with ARRT-CT (required).
ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (required) and ARRT – CT (required) or ARRT-CT (within 12 months if 1 year radiology technician experience) (required).
CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist by TDH or TMB (required).
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care (required).
