The program is designed to make breast cancer screening more convenient for women with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekend work. It uses the latest 3D tomosynthesis digital mammography equipment in an OB/Gyn office environment. Must be up to date on all CME credits. Hold a valid state license if applicable. Must be very patient-centric, compassionate, and computer savvy. Able to perform a variety of technical activities associated with screening and diagnostic mammography procedures. Flexible with the ability to multi-task. What are your responsibilities?

Specializes in the production of screening and diagnostic mammograms for the detection of breast cancers and lesions. Responsible for the initial and ongoing success of the mammography service in the practice. Assist the practice in ensuring all eligible age-appropriate patients have annual screening mammograms. Prepare patients for the mammographic procedure and explain procedures to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation. Move mammographic equipment to the correct positions and adjust exposure factors according to radiographic techniques and protocols. Practice radiation protection techniques using beam-restrictive devices and patient shielding skills; follow prescribed safety standards. Examine digital images for image quality and ensure equipment is in proper working order. Performs all required QA testing to comply with MQSA, ACR, and State requirements/regulations. Maintain patient confidentiality and handle all required paperwork and data entry. Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
