Under general supervision, primary duties include imaging both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following the age-specific guidelines of FH parameters, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and keeping the hospital computer system up to date with the progress of these exams. The CT technologist actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all, while implementing the principles of Florida Hospital. Responsibilities include: Performs all exams using FH CT protocols and proper patient identification prior to performing the exam. Educates patients concerning the exam and screens patients for contrast allergies. Completes all exams in a timely manner, maintains workflow, and minimizes idle time. Communicates with transport and discharge for outpatient exams. Operates all imaging equipment safely, adapts protocols for patients of all ages, and performs scans on all age groups. Practices infection control standards, uses PPE, and maintains a clean, stocked room. Performs QA on CT scanners; may involve transporting pharmaceutical waste per policy. The expertise and experiences you''ll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications : Florida State License - General Radiographer ARRT – R Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Preferred qualifications: ARRT - CT AS or BS degree in Radiological Technology Prior CT experience on GE CT scanners This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
