In the Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Customer Experience organization, we work backwards from customer needs, representing their voice through the product lifecycle (from development to deployment and support). We aim to transform stand-alone work-cells into end-to-end integrated solutions that are safe, easy to operate, maintain, deploy, and service. This role focuses on MSP automation technology and joining a dynamic growth area of Amazon. Position: Ops Engineer Deployment & Ramp. You will oversee multiple products and programs, deploying MSP solutions at new sites and existing operational fulfillment centers, coordinating installation, commissioning, and performance ramp-up, and driving continuous improvement in deployment cycle time, safety, quality, and productivity. You will work with engineering and product teams to simplify installation and capture the voice of the customer. Travel: This is a travel-based role with expected travel across North America, up to 75% or more, and occasional international travel. Key responsibilities

Manage development of project plans and technical solutions, including problem statements and resource requirements definition. Influence deployment and machine performance strategy at senior levels. Own tactical planning for installation of complex cross-functional projects, including scope, schedule, cost, and product performance; manage contractors and vendors. Own program strategy for annual resource and budget planning, define deployment plans, and drive standards and efficiencies across deployment and machine performance based on customer feedback. Communicate program execution and performance, consolidating inputs across internal cross-functional teams. Note: This is a travel-based role with travel requirements described above. Basic Qualifications

4+ years in industrial, operations, manufacturing, or project engineering in a manufacturing environment. Bachelor's degree. 2+ years of experience with infrastructure projects for new or existing site deployment and ramp from initiation to closure. 1+ year of program leadership experience; experience managing project portfolios, budgets, and decentralized resources. Experience working in a global environment with multiple responsibilities. Ability to travel frequently within country up to 75% and occasionally internationally (~5%). Experience with Microsoft Office; ability to interpret mechanical/electrical diagrams and controls logic. Experience with equipment procurement and in robotics, automation, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics. Experience leading cross-functional teams/projects; knowledge of project management tools (PPM, Clarity, MPP or Jira). Preferred Qualifications Experience with third-party vendor management. Experience with Six Sigma or lean manufacturing; MBA/MS in Engineering or related STEM field; MS/MBA in Business or Supply Chain with 10+ years of additional technical experience. 10+ years of technical project portfolio management experience; PMP certification. Strong English communication skills; understanding of Robotic, Automation, Construction, IT, MHE infrastructure and service concepts. Site deployment and ramp experience in packaging and robotics automation in retail, distribution, or logistics. Experience with global (distributed, virtual) teams; ability to contribute to an inclusive culture; experience owning program strategy and end-to-end delivery, with results communicated to senior leadership. Base pay ranges from $68,900/year to $126,400/year, depending on location and experience.
