Your best fit for this position:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing daily construction staking and work layout tasks for all phases of concrete construction structures. Performs calculations from plans for laying out foundations, columns, slabs, elevator pits, walls, etc. Performs as-built surveys for quality control and documentation purposes.
Your daily challenges and goals:
Sets up and maintains permanent control throughout the entire project.
Validates accurate dimensions by reviewing the architectural and structural drawings prior to execution.
Layouts footings, column lines (using batter-boards when feasible), re-bar placement, wall lines, embeds, anchor bolts, and more on site and stores data points for layout accountability. Provides verification of layout points as necessary.
Schedules calibration and maintenance of equipment when due and ensures WSI’s teams operate with well-maintained and accurate layout equipment.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
Proficient knowledge in AutoCAD and total stations survey equipment and software.
Obtain OSHA 30 certification and CPR/First Aid.
Experienced at problem solving and being an effective communicator.
Strong knowledge of concrete construction principles/practices.
Experienced with using advanced instruments and capable of using Total Station to perform layouts.
