As a member of the Operations Control & Flow Assurance team, this position is responsible for technically evaluating liquids and natural gas gathering pipeline systems from a hydraulic standpoint using software such as DNV’s Synergi (SPS), Gregg Engineering’s NextGen, OLGA, Multiflash, and Pipesim. The role involves hydraulic modeling, capacity optimization, and scenario modeling for business development. Responsibilities
Provide technical direction in hydraulic analysis and system design. Support and maintain hydraulic models for natural gas and liquids pipelines. Evaluate model performance against actual data. Collaborate with business teams on expansion and acquisition projects. Participate in hydraulic analysis for projects and incident investigations. Support leak detection, automation, and integrity teams. Lead or support the Management of Change (MOC) process. Communicate technical information effectively. Improve processes and standards. Mentor engineers in modeling and technical guidance. Support field engineering regarding surge relief and shutdown logic. Qualifications
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. At least 7 years of relevant engineering experience. Proficiency with hydraulic modeling software. Experience in natural gas gathering system design. Preferred:
Industry standards knowledge, advanced MS Office skills, valid driver’s license, ability to pass drug and background checks. Skills & Abilities
Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to manage complex projects independently. Strong organizational skills and safety commitment. Physical & Working Conditions
Primarily office-based with occasional field activities. Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 25 lbs. Flexibility for overtime and travel. Additional Information
