We are seeking an experienced Civil 3D Designer to join our engineering and design team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Autodesk Civil 3D and a background in civil engineering design for infrastructure, land development, or transportation projects.
This role involves producing accurate, detailed design drawings and collaborating closely with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and modify detailed civil engineering drawings and models using Autodesk Civil 3D. Prepare plans, profiles, grading, corridors, and pipe networks for site development, roadways, and utility projects. Interpret survey data, engineering notes, and technical specifications to produce accurate designs. Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including plan sets, cross-sections, and details. Coordinate designs with engineers, drafters, and other project stakeholders to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards. Review and verify design accuracy, ensuring adherence to company, client, and municipal standards. Maintain organized project files, CAD standards, and layer management practices. Support engineers with calculations, quantity take-offs, and project design revisions. Qualifications:
Associate degree or certificate in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of experience working with Autodesk Civil 3D in a civil design environment. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles related to grading, drainage, and site development. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with other design software as needed. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
