Overview
Production Manager-Construction/Glass Windows — Paramount, CA Lead and manage a team of 20+ employees in the manufacturing of luxury window and door systems. Oversee engineer-to-order (ETO) and order-to-build (OTB) manufacturing processes to ensure on-time delivery and product quality. Apply lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Maintain alignment with quality, delivery timelines, and cost objectives; collaborate with procurement, project management, and manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility and coordination of customer orders. Responsibilities
Plan production flow and optimize production schedules based on customer orders, product specifications, and material availability. Monitor production progress and proactively adjust plans to address delays, shortages, or changes in demand. Coordinate with purchasing, inventory, project management, engineering, R&D, and supply chain teams to provide accurate lead times and order status updates. Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in custom production (including outsourced manufacturing). Apply lean manufacturing, efficiency methods, and Six Sigma tools to improve workflow and reduce waste. Ensure compliance with AAMA and NFRC procedures and certifications; drive continuous improvement in product quality using quality metrics and root cause analysis. Drive cost reduction through improved labor efficiency, optimized material usage, and design-for-manufacturability improvements. Monitor labor hours, overtime, and staffing levels; implement improvement plans as needed. Maintain strong safety practices and ensure an injury-free workplace in compliance with OSHA regulations. Communicate effectively with cross-functional departments to guarantee on-time delivery and accurate status updates. Qualifications
Experience leading 20+ employees in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with Netsuite or similar ERP/MRP systems to plan, track, and optimize production workflows. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and related continuous improvement methodologies. Understanding of engineer-to-order (ETO) and order-to-build (OTB) processes. Experience ensuring compliance with industry standards such as AAMA and NFRC; strong focus on quality and process reliability.
