Base pay range $30.00/hr - $40.00/hr
The ideal candidate will:
Love to get their hands dirty, be known as a “gearhead”,
Set, pursue, and attain achievable goals, regardless of obstacles or circumstances,
Establish a process for activities that lead to the implementation of systems, procedures or outcomes,
Be responsible for their own actions and decisions,
Take personal responsibility and action toward self‑improvement and learning,
Be open to customers and listen to what they are saying, read between the lines to determine what their needs are,
Organize and motivate people to accomplish goals while creating a sense of order and direction.
The mechanical engineer will:
Validate designs of mechanical coil handling and feeding machines using calculations and solid modeling techniques in SolidWorks software,
Compute necessary engineering calculations for project specifications,
Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, quality policies, and performance standards,
Create drawings, Bill of Materials, and manufacturing process documentation,
Provide technical support and assistance to internal and external customers,
Lead project team to ensure project is completed on time and budget,
Collaborate with Purchasing, Machining, Fabrication, and Assembly Departments to support projects through the build stage,
Support current standard mechanical designs used for customer solutions and provide alternatives for future improved mechanical components and designs.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field or equivalent industry experience
5-7 years in design and development of industrial machinery
Familiarity with manufacturing and machining techniques
Experience using SolidWorks solid modeling software (including Finite Element Analysis)
Strong core competence in math, metallurgy, and properties of materials
Time management and organization skills
Experience in using Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Outlook
