Manager, Manufacturing Finance role at Anduril Industries. Anduril is a defense technology company committed to transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. The Manufacturing Finance Team is a critical, operationally complex finance group working to define sound business processes, partner with Operations to understand manufacturing and inventory flow, track key operational metrics, and provide insights to optimize production. The position involves direct collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Accounting teams. What You’ll Do
Prepare and maintain cost accounting records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Analyze and manage costs associated with production (materials, labor, and overhead), inventory, and operating expenses. Support the evolution of the standard costing system, including analysis and disposition of variances, costing of new products, and annual update of standard costs. Ensure inventory is properly valued on the balance sheet, including establishment of required reserves. Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to drive efficiency within the organization. Monitor labor utilization and labor efficiency related to production builds, identify root causes of variability, and define actions to improve metrics. Review manufacturing department spend for reasonableness and variances to budget. Present monthly site financial performance, articulating key cost drivers, variances, and trends to site leadership. Support the implementation of the future ERP system with a focus on cost accounting, costing master data management, inventory transactions, and related reporting. Participate in annual physical inventory by overseeing counts, reviewing variances, and conducting audits as necessary. Manage the inventory cycle count program, identify opportunities for improved accuracy, and partner with operations to determine root causes of discrepancies. Interact with internal and external auditors, providing analyses and audit schedules to ensure compliance with internal control procedures. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with emphasis on manufacturing finance / cost accounting. Minimum of 10+ years of experience using standard costing in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industries. Proven experience using advanced Excel functions for financial analyses, variance analysis, and cost simulations. Ability to present complex financial metrics and KPIs to non-Finance personnel. Strong knowledge of ERP system functionality, with preference for NetSuite or Oracle. Solid understanding of WMS (Warehouse Management System) and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, eager to learn, and willing to contribute hands-on when necessary. Effective communication across functions and levels of the company; ability to work independently as a senior finance leader at the site. US Salary Range: $129,000—$171,000 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on compensation factors, including base salary. Actual offers may vary based on experience, education, and other factors. Equity grants are typically included in full-time offers as part of total compensation.
