The Boeing Company, Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a
Propulsion Analysis Engineer (Experienced/Senior)
to support our teams at Edwards Air Force Base, CA.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite at one of the listed location options. A U.S. Secret Security Clearance is required (U.S. Citizenship required).
Position responsibilities
Assist with ground and flight test planning and participate in the conduct of ground and flight tests.
Participate in testing, analysis, modeling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate propulsion system performance.
Support definition and performance of certification tests for propulsion sub-systems and components.
Contribute to definitions of requirements for propulsion systems, auxiliary power systems and vehicle fuel and tank systems.
Coordinate and control functional and physical interfaces between the propulsion system and the vehicle.
Support development of specifications and architectural/configuration concepts for vehicle systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Assist with design of propulsion sub-systems and components to meet vehicle design and performance criteria.
Support fielded systems to assure continued reliability and airworthiness.
Assist with development of concepts for future propulsion systems to meet anticipated requirements.
Basic qualifications (Required)
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited program.
5+ years of working experience in a relevant industry with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years with a Master’s, or a PhD.
Preferred qualifications (Desired)
9+ years with a Bachelor’s, 7+ years with a Master’s, or 3+ years with a PhD.
Flight or ground test experience; experience with jet engines and/or air-breathing propulsion fundamentals.
Propulsion analysis, integration design, system installation and support experience; component/hardware integration.
Vendor management, qualification and certification experience.
Security, relocation and other requirements
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
Relocation is offered based on candidate eligibility.
Export Control: A U.S. Person status is required.
This is not a Safety Sensitive position.

Compensation and benefits
Summary pay range Level 3: $100,300 - $135,700.
Summary pay range Level 4: $121,550 - $164,450.
Includes eligibility for a Total Rewards package with health, retirement, and related benefits; exact programs depend on eligibility and location.
