Represent Conlan in a positive manner in all project meetings attended. Demonstrate strong people skills and the ability to work under pressure in a team environment. Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills. Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships and communication with clients. Visit job sites to review existing conditions. Identify elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes or claims. Review project documents for completeness and accuracy. Develop bid scope for trade packages and vet subcontractors to ensure compliance with bid scope. Prepare take-offs and budgets. Manage financials, risk management, and client relations of assigned projects during pre-construction to subcontractor issuance. Collaborate with project team members. Apply critical thinking and problem solving to identify problems and solutions. Maintain good knowledge of the civil and building construction markets. Be available for extended working hours when required. Be highly motivated and a team player. Collaborate directly with the Director of Preconstruction. Communicate effectively in written and verbal form and maintain a professional demeanor in meetings and interactions. Commit to contributing to a culture of SAFETY. Physical Demands
Capable of driving long distances to visit project sites and able to walk on job sites, including ladders, uneven terrain, and other outdoor challenges related to weather. Be able to work extended hours as required by project responsibilities. Transport to and from office and job sites. Meet Vision Standard: ability to see 20/40 with both eyes together, with or without corrective lenses. Environmental/Working Conditions
Approximately 10% field office and site environment; 90% office environment. Jobsite may involve exposure to varying noise and dust levels. Familiarity with Viewpoint, Procore, and Bluebeam software is a positive. Proficient in plan take-off and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project). Familiarity with light industrial tilt-up buildings is a plus. Qualifications
College degree in Building Construction, Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years related experience with a General Contractor in the construction of Commercial, Industrial, and Office Facilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro Area. Excellent knowledge of design and construction matters. Excellent technical skills; understanding of computer software and hardware. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
