Pharmacy Operations Manager - Walgreens. Responsible for day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities where allowed by state and federal laws/regulations, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. Serves as a full-time certified pharmacy technician. Responsibilities

Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, supervise pharmacy technicians and pharmacy cashiers within the guidelines of authorized company policies, laws, regulations and business ethics. Coordinate the selection, scheduling, and development of pharmacy technician personnel. Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians. Make decisions regarding performance management including discipline and termination. Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer complaints and respond to requests in a timely manner to ensure a positive customer experience. Model and share customer service best practices. Develop strong relationships with customers by anticipating needs and offering services to improve the pharmacy experience. Focus on healthcare services to enhance customer experience. Assist pharmacist in the delivery of patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting, and verification where allowed by law. Conduct patient and physician calls under pharmacist supervision and participate in healthcare services such as administering vaccines and health screenings where allowed by law. Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy within approved policies, laws, and regulations to maintain on-time task completion and efficient workflow. Prepare and file reports/records as directed by the Pharmacy Manager or pharmacist for the company and government agencies. Manage core pharmacy workflow and daily schedule, coordinate operations, and ensure the pharmacy is stocked and organized. Oversee inventory management and compliance with business administrative activities. Drive technology/process rollouts, champion change, and collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure proper recordkeeping and security safeguards. Adhere to Good Faith Dispensing policies during all applicable dispensing activities and understand the role in ensuring these elements are met. Support asset protection and report diversion concerns to the Pharmacy Manager. Communicate prescription errors to the accountable pharmacist and follow Company policies in relation to errors and the Continuous Quality Improvement Program. Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims and follow up with insurers and providers as needed, including third-party audits. Assist and support Store Manager and Pharmacy Manager in analyzing and improving pharmacy financials, operational quality, and customer service. Manage Community Outreach Portal and coordinate immunization clinics and community events as directed; build relationships with retail partners. People & Performance Management

Lead performance management of technicians, including discipline and termination decisions. Apply constructive discipline policies and ensure technicians comply with state and federal laws. Monitor attendance, timeliness, and drive team engagement through action planning. Oversee technician hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling. Monitor timely training completion and follow policies for scheduling and training. Identify gaps in pharmacy operations knowledge and support team members through hands-on training or learning modules. Ensure licensures, registrations, and certifications are active and compliant, leveraging resources to document status. Ensure procedures for selection, recruitment, record retention, and training align with company policy and legal requirements. Training & Personal Development

Maintain PTCB certification and other required certifications/registrations. Maintain knowledge of pharmacy and healthcare trends and pursue professional development with mentorship and feedback. Complete required certifications and training such as LTMP e-modules as required by the Company and follow performance improvement plans as directed by Pharmacy Manager. Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico). One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting. Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations). Preferred Qualifications

Previous people management/leadership experience. Previous work experience with Walgreens with an Exceeding Expectation on last performance evaluation.
