Overview

Family Health Centers of San Diego is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (Per Diem) to work under the supervision of a Pharmacist. The Pharmacy Technician assists in the operation of the clinic pharmacy, including the computerized control system, and related tasks. Responsibilities

Adequately maintains inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies, storing under proper conditions of refrigeration and security, and re-orders as needed. Disposes unclaimed medication and documents on the required log. Completes all required documentation accurately, in a timely manner, and in accordance with department standards; documentation also complies with patients\' insurance requirements. Enters information on all drugs and manufacturers into the computer, and maintains all computer files. Registers eligible patients via med data system and completes applications. Follows up to ensure that medications are received for applications sent. Maintains log of all med data medications that are received. Generates prescription labels and receipts, including entering all necessary information into the computer. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs routine maintenance and refilling of medication to the pharmacy robot cell. Processes drug shipments, including unpacking, affixing price stickers, stocking of shelves and refrigerator, and paperwork on invoices. Responsible for general housekeeping of the pharmacy area according to the established maintenance schedule. Schedules appointments for patients deemed eligible for med data services and patients in need of refills. Informs patient when medication is ready for pick up. Receives payments from patients and reports the total sale at the end of the day. Qualifications

Formal training as a Pharmacy Technician. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the skills, knowledge, and ability to perform the essential job duties, and that meets any required state or federal certification requirements. Basic computer literacy (i.e., ability to manage and schedule appointments, and access electronic medical record information). Rewards

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. The range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future salary growth.
