Days and Evenings Hours:
Hours of operation 6am-6pm, with varying start times. 8 or 10 hours available. No weekends, No Holidays. Summary Contributes to the company's mission and values by treating patients, visitors and staff with a friendly, helpful demeanor both in person and over the phone. Operates independently as well as cooperatively; maintains professional and effective working relationships with teammates; vendors and physicians. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure quality and timely patient care. Possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combines the knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures. Responsibilities Includes ensuring the quality/quantity of sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment for Surgical Services. Maintains and evaluates operations to assure compliance to infection control standards and regulatory requirements. Requirements
High School diploma Accredited program and maintenance of the CST credential or eligible for certification. Applicant may be 'grandfathered' with documented one year (cumulative) of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a surgical facility in the previous four years prior to January 1, 2015 Preferred Experience
Previous experience in an operating room Two-year health care clinical experience in ORSPD Knowledge, Skill and Ability
Conducting self in a professional manner Demonstrating professional competence by maintaining applicable certifications and educational mandates Communicates with a positive and caring attitude Demonstrates ability to perform work in an accurate and timely manner
