Soccer Development Officer
to lead coaching, session oversight, coach training, and program development. The ideal candidate is an experienced coach who can run engaging youth sessions, mentor new coaches, and collaborate with the management team to ensure high-quality programming. You’ll help shape both the coach and player experience, ensuring our programs remain organized, fun, and impactful.
Responsibilities
Lead engaging soccer sessions for children aged 18 months to 13 years, tailored to age and skill level
Oversee session setup, event operations, and daily programming
Supervise and mentor a team of part-time and seasonal coaches to ensure program quality and safety
Provide on-field and off-field training to coaching staff
Act as the primary liaison between front-line coaches and the management team
Communicate regularly with management to support operational needs and coach development
Maintain high standards of communication with children, parents, and staff
Ensure program quality, safety, and enjoyment across sessions
Requirements
Passionate about working with and engaging young children
Availability on weekday evenings (4pm–8pm) and/or weekends (9am–12pm on Saturday/Sunday)
Reliable, professional, organized, and proactive in problem-solving
Experience managing, mentoring, and/or supervising other coaches or staff
Energetic, enthusiastic, and outgoing personality who enjoys working with children, parents, and co-workers
Experience leading soccer sessions for children aged 18 months to 13 years, adjusted to age and skill level
Ability to mentor and supervise a team of coaches to ensure program quality and safety
Strong collaboration with management and front-line staff
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with children and provide feedback to parents
Availability to work through Summer and Winter seasons
Ideal Experience
Experience working with children ages 2–12
Preference for experienced soccer coaches who can work with both Toddler and Youth ages
Experience with other young child sports programs or soccer environments
Coaching certifications (Active Start, FUNdamentals, Learn to Train, etc.) is an asset
Benefits Pay: Competitive based on experience
