Get to know 4 Sutherland! 4 Sutherland is a 23 bed Medical/Surgical unit that is passionate about the care of cardiac patients. Our patients can be infants to early adults. 4 Sutherland collaborates with the Blue Team, CHAMP, Heart Failure, Heart Transplant, Electrophysiology, CICU and CV Surgery to manage the following primary diagnoses: Congenital heart defects Heart failure and transplant Heart rhythm abnormalities 4 Sutherland also provides care to patients from general pediatrics and other specialties during times of low cardiac patient volumes. Registered nurses provide illness management and health promotion for patients and families who require care. Registered staff nurses utilize the nursing process and knowledge of scientific principles to provide safe, high quality, comprehensive, and age appropriate nursing care for their assigned patients. Registered staff nurses provide patient and family education and advocate for their needs. Registered nurses coordinate patient care with nonprofessional personnel as necessary. Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a safe, high quality, comprehensive, and age-appropriate plan of care for the patient and family that promotes optimal patient outcomes. Meets the educational needs of the patient and family and advocates for their needs. Maintains an environment that is safe, comfortable, efficient, and family-centered. Utilizes current research and evidence for practice to expand personal professional knowledge, enhance role performance, and improve nursing care quality. Qualifications
Associate\'s Degree. Current employees hired before September 1, 2013 are grandfathered and permitted to continue in the direct care nursing role. No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training Bachelor\'s Degree Preferred for all direct care nurses hired after September 1, 2013. Direct care nurses hired after this date without a BSN must complete their degree within 5 years of their hire date. No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training Licensure: Licensed RN - Kansas or Kansas RN Multistate License required upon hire Licensure: Licensed RN - Missouri or Missouri RN Multistate License required upon hire RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO Employees must obtain Licensed RN - Kansas or equivalent within 90 days Life Support Certifications required upon hire (refer to policy for specifics) Specialty Certification relevant to unit\'s patient population (determined by Nurse Manager/Director) Preferred Upon Hire Benefits and Pay
The pay ranges are market competitive. The start pay for this role is $31.00/hr, with offers based on education and experience. Benefits plans are designed to meet the changing needs of employees and their families. Remote Work
