The Sr. Project Manager will lead and oversee the end-to-end execution of low voltage and network hardware installation projects for our managed WiFi solutions. The ideal candidate has a solid background in project management, expertise in low voltage systems, and experience with network hardware deployment. This role involves managing all aspects of project execution, from planning and scheduling to team coordination and client communication, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction. Responsibilities
Project Initiation: Review and fully understand contract and pre-sale deliverables (Sales Budget, Scope of Work, Design, Circuit Provider plan, and revenue/conversion model) to ensure proper delivery of system and services. Plan, manage, and execute projects related to low voltage cabling and network hardware installations. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Monitor and report on project progress and ensure alignment with client requirements and company standards. Team Leadership & Coordination: Supervise and coordinate teams within Aerwave (CSM, Engineering, Design, Sales, Leadership) as well as subcontractors and vendors to achieve project goals. Assign tasks, set expectations, and monitor/report performance; foster collaboration and clear communication among stakeholders. Mentor and provide guidance to new hires and the PM team. Technical Management: Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of low voltage systems (structured cabling, fiber optics, etc.) and network hardware (routers, switches, access points); troubleshoot and resolve issues during the project lifecycle. Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for ownership clients; provide regular updates, milestones, and risk assessments; address client concerns promptly and professionally. Budget and Resource Management: Track budgets, procure equipment/materials, review and approve expenses and change orders; monitor accounts receivable as necessary. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure site inspections verify work quality and adherence to Aerwave standards; document installations, configurations, and as-built drawings. Risk Management: Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, resolve conflicts or delays, and escalate issues as needed. Project Plan and Schedule Management: Create and update project plans accounting for all in-scope items, tasks, responsibilities, and due dates; ensure stage completions and proper closeout materials. Education/Experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Telecommunications or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of experience managing projects involving low voltage systems and network hardware installations. Strong understanding of structured cabling, fiber optics, and network hardware (routers, switches, access points). Familiarity with industry standards and best practices (e.g., TIA/EIA, BICSI). Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet) and technical documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD). Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Experience in tenant finish-out project management, expediting, and logistics management; inspection and regulatory compliance experience; proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels within and outside the company. Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively; takes initiative and works independently. Professional maturity and work ethic. Preferred Qualifications
